6) Screen at 1024 x 768 with minimum 16 bits colours (High Colour).
Localization: english
Crack: N/A-Description: When you first open the Seamanship Library, you are presented with the following screen:
By clicking on the (+) sign before the word "Library", you are expanding a list of sections that contains all the books currently contained in Seamanship Library.
When you expand the first level, you will see more levels containing different publications. You can use the (-) sign to hide a level
Each publication can contain various books. For example : US Regulations is consisted of a number of CFR Titles, and each CFR Title is consisted of several volumes.
The first section in the list is called Search - this provides access to a search facility covering the full set of documents contained in Seamanship Library. After selecting this section in the list, click on the Search button in the right-hand window to launch the Search Window.
The sections below the global search option allow you to access the individual sections (and books) that make up Seamanship Library. The first thumbnail of each level will contain the title of the publication and a magnifying glass. This denotes that this is the search facility for this section. For example, selecting the first entry in the IMO section and clicking the Search button in the right-hand window will launch the Search Window with the search limited solely to books contained in the IMO section.
Below the search facility for each section will be an icon for each individual book which makes up that section. Selecting an individual book in the list, SOLAS for example, will allow you to either open that book in the Viewer Window by clicking the Open button in the right-hand window, or by clicking the Search button you can open the Search Window with the search restricted to that particular book.
If you wish to collapse all the tree sections, (If for example you have expanded many of the publications and feel lost) you can do this easily, by pressing the Collapse Tree icon on the left. (The bottom left icon)
This help file can be accessed by clicking the Help icon on the left.-Installation Procedure::
1) You should have administrative rights on your PC to install the program.
2) Insert the DVD-Rom into your CD drive. Then:
· Double-click on the ‘My Computer’ icon on the desktop or the start menu
· Double-click on the DVD-Rom icon or right-click (x1) on it and choose the menu ‘Open’
· Go to the \FULL INSTALL folder and double-click on INSTALL_SMS_LIB_SIRE(.exe)
3) Once the installation program starts, it will check for some necessary software on your PC:
· The Microsoft .Net framework 1.1 (if not present or too old, the .Net 1.1.4322 framework will be installed). Note that if you are using Windows 98, the .Net framework cannot be installed unless you have Internet Explorer v5.01 or greater installed. You can install Internet Explorer from the "\Utilities\Internet Explorer" folder on the installation DVD if this is required.
· During the installation of the Microsoft .Net framework, it is possible that the PC will need to be rebooted. Allow this restart before running the main program.
4) After the software components, the main program will be installed.
· Select the folder where you want to copy the program (by default Program Files\Seamanship Library)
· The program will be installed on your hard disk. The DVD is not needed to run the software.
5) Double-click on the desktop icon ‘Seamanship Library SIRE Edition’ to start. Alternatively, you can use the menu Start > Programs > Seamanship Library SIRE Edition> Seamanship Library SIRE Edition.
6) The first time you run the program, you will need to obtain and enter an unlock code.
Follow the on-screen instructions to contact Witherby Seamanship International and obtain your code. You will need the box number from the sticker inside your DVD Case.
If you are using Vista or Windows 7, you should right-click on the desktop icon and select 'Run as administrator' at the first use. Failure to do this will only unlock the program for your own user account, not any user on the computer.-Windows Vista\Windows 7:
With Windows Vista and Windows 7, you need to install the .NET framework v1.1.4322 that can be found on the DVD, in the 'Utilities\DotNet' folder. Without this specific version of the .NET framework, the program will start but will not be able to display documents. You will get errors like 'Error in LoadFile. An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers.' or 'The specified module could not be found'.
Due to the new security restrictions of Windows Vista/Windows 7, you are advised to run the program with administrative rights when you use it for the first time so that program is unlocked for all users. If the software is unlocked when running without administrative rights, it may only be unlocked for the particular user who is logged on to the PC at that time
Right-click on the short-cut to the program, or navigate to the installation folder and right-click on 'Start_Library' (or 'Start_Library.exe') and select 'Run As Administrator'.
