queyibuke, yes it's a different book altogether, by author Martin Rhodes.
The 7th edition u r referring to has been authored by Derret & Bryan Barras.

queyibuke, the 7th edition book is more advanced and harder problems..Not recommended for beginner's.
This book by Martin Rhodes is easy to understand with simpler problems and more emphasis on understanding and initial concept building.

thirdmate, I have found one more book by author Martin Rhodes, Ship Stability For Deck Officers-Class 4/OOW covering the requirements for SQA examination and HNC level units being offered by colleges.
