Se distinguen los conceptos de meteorología y climatología, y se analiza el instrumental utilizado en la observación meteorológica. A continuación se aborda la cuestión de la observación y la predicción, que quizás sea la parte que el observador a bordo más necesitaba ver compendiada y que tenía que consultar en otras publicaciones quizá de más rigor científico, pero dirigidas a otro público. Finalmente, se introducen los sistemas usuales de consulta del tiempo por parte del marino, y la obra concluye con un ejemplo de interpretación del parte del tiempo. This book is intended primarily to be a working tool for students of Nautical studies and the most advanced students of Nautical and Maritime Transport of the colleges and colleges of the Spanish-speaking Civil Navy. The work begins with a brief review of the energy chapter that provides energy to the atmosphere and is the fuel base of the meteorology machinery.
