For these reasons the maximum working pressure of an acetylene cylinder is kept relatively low at 19 bar. Consequently, manifolds connected to an acetylene cylinder are designed and constructed to operate at pressures between 1.5 and 25 bar. In use, acetylene is delivered to the end user at pressures up to 1.5 bar.
