The overall amount of marks (both A and B papers) is 28, and 18 marks are required to pass. Be aware that 11 marks must be achieved from Part A. 3. Practical assessment involves some tasks to carry out on a VHF DSC radio, in cooperation with another candidate, and under examinator's supervision. Tasks are briefly descripted on a situation card and on a voice training card. Additional info: 1. This document refer to an actual exam session that took place in July 2020, and it is for study and knowledge purpose only. 2. It is recommended to join a professional course taught by a qualified instructor, in order to obtain a ROC/GOC certification (SOLAS vessels), or a SRC/LRC certification (voluntary vessel). 3.
