Description: Initially part of the Us Navy Ship Salvage Manual, this volume was subsequently published as a stand-alone document. It illustrates a large amount of harbor salvage operations that remain interesting and relevant nowadays, and it has beeen designed as a reference manual to be kept on hand for consultation. Consisting of 15 chapters in case study format, nine of them are dedicated to single-ship salvage operations, five to massive multi-ship operations and one to unique individual case. Each chapter is divided into sections. As a general example: brief, description of the ship, how the ship sank, condition of the wreck, salvage plan, pivoting, righting and lifting operations, pumping and refloating operations.
