In today’s spotted we bring you the first of ten Platform Supply Vessels, delivered by Dutch Shipyard De Hoop to Esnaad, the operating company of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) group. The ship, named Esnaad 221, is soon to be followed by its sister vessels, as the hull of the second PSV has been launched in Foxhol, whilst the steel hull of the fourth PSV is currently being assembled at the yard’s slipway. At De Hoop’s Lobith facilities, the hull of the third vessel is ready to be launched, whereas the block sections of hull number five are being assembled on a second slipway. Furthermore, the steel cutting and construction of the first block sections for the sixth vessel are at an advanced stage, the shipyard said. Esnaad awarded De Hoop the contract to build the ten vessels in 2013, with the last PSV to be handed over in 2017. Esnaad series of vessels are custom designed to operate at a maximum efficiency and optimised costs, having main dimensions of 70.4 x 15.8metres (LxB).
