Description: American Sailing Association is an association of sailing schools, charter companies and professional sailing instructors with the mission of teaching people to sail safely and confidently. To achieve that goal, the ASA establish standards to measure a sailor’s level of knowledge and skill. The main purpose of Sailing Made Easy is to serve as the course book for the Basic Keelboat Sailing Standard (ASA101), and is aimed at anyone, especially to those with little or no prior experience of sailing. It also serves as a base for subsequent ASA courses and their textbooks. The manual covers topics such as points of sail, trimming, apparent wind, rigging, tacking and jibing, knots, docking and mooring. Every chapter has review questions with answers at the end of the book.
