In order to cover all the criteria in the SIGTTO training standard and at the same time give as much time as possible on the simulator you are required to read some material in the evenings as part of the course. It is estimated that this will take you no more than one and a half hours per evening for 4 days.
2) Exercise Book - DFDE Model (Version Date: August 2018)
Objective:
The purpose of the exercise is to help you become familiar with operation of the simulator and the layout of simulator pages by starting operations required to prepare the ship for loading the first cargo after departure from a repair yard.
Scenario:
At the start of the exercise the ship is liquid and gas free having recently left a repair yard where repairs and inspection have been carried out in all cargo tanks and
cofferdams. At this stage of the voyage to a loading port, preparations are being made for loading a full cargo of LNG. Currently the cargo tanks and interbarrier
spaces contain only dry air.
