Description: This revised and updated guide to Ships, Aircraft and Armaments of the Royal Navy has now been expanded to include ships of the Royal Marines and the Border Agency as of 1988. The book begins with a detailed overview of the current state of the Royal Navy, followed by sections detailing the fleets of the Royal Navy, Royal Navy auxiliary vessels and support vessels operated under contract. This also includes vessels of the Royal Marines, Land Forces and Border Troops. This volume, which contains color images for each class of ships, also contains silhouettes, class lists, pennant numbers, technical specifications and brief notes. At the end of the book is a list of ships mothballed in the United Kingdom and performing a secondary role after decommissioning, as well as a brief description of ships that have been scrapped since the publication of the previous edition.
