Each ship shall have on board a Ballast Water Record Book, that may be an electronic record book, or that may be integrated into another record book or system, and which shall at least contain the information specified in appendix II. For guidance on how to fill out BWRB entries, refer to BWM.2/Circ.80/Rev.1 – Guidance on ballast water record-keeping and reporting. The BWM Convention has been amended by IMO resolution MEPC.369(80), which changes the format of BWRBs and has come into force on 1 February 2025.
