This Guidance Note describes various methods and tools that can be used for the direct calculations of the hydro-structural response of ships and floating or fixed offshore units. The main purpose of the present Guidance Note is to present several approaches to perform a long-term analysis and to provide the associated theoretical background. This Guidance Note mainly focus on the tools and background of the long-term analysis itself, however it also provides information on environmental conditions and hydro-structure models.
