Language: english Format: PDF Quality: eBook Number of pages: 29 Description: This compact series of Oil Mist Detectors can be easily mounted into the engine and connected to the control system. The unit can be delivered with and without creakcase pressure monitoring. The system needs a voltage of 24VDC and an "engine is running" contact. The unit monitors the actual oil mist concentration or the crankcase pressure and is set at a limit value which relay output with warning and danger alarm. As the signal output is 4-20 mA. which can be provided to a measured quantity of the pressure available. The unit has relays for the functions readiness for operation, pre-alarm and danger alarm, which either stops the engine or slows it down to idle speed. False alarms caused by condensation and evaporation of water vapour at a tolerable content of moisture in the lube oil is avoided by a direct heating at he measuring optical system, The major benefit of this system is that there is no need of piping and installation is easy.
